What Clients Say About Me

I cannot recommend Riley Brosnahan highly enough! He went above and beyond to help me set up my insurance last night. Despite it being well after hours, he willingly gave up his own free time to work around my busy schedule. Throughout the entire process, Riley was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. He took the time to thoroughly explain every detail, ensuring I felt confident and informed every step of the way. If you’re looking for someone professional who truly cares about their clients, Riley is the one to call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doesn't ACC already cover me?

ACC covers accidents anywhere in New Zealand, and it's genuinely good. What it doesn't cover is illness. If a serious illness kept you off work for a while, ACC wouldn't help with your income or your bills. That's the gap trauma and income protection cover are there to fill.

I'm a resident now. Do I need private health insurance?

As a resident you can use the public health system, which is great, but you join the same queue as everyone else. The public target is to see a specialist within four months, then there's a separate wait for treatment. Private cover means you can usually be assessed and treated sooner. I'll show you how it fits alongside the public system and whether it's worth it for you.

I had cover back home. Does it still work here?

Sometimes, but often not the way you'd expect. Some overseas policies stop or change once you're living here, and cover through an old employer usually ends when the job does. Don't cancel anything yet. Bring along what you've got and I'll check how it compares.

I've only just arrived. Is it too early to sort this?

It's actually a good time. Insurers here look at your health when you apply, so anything that comes up in the meantime could be excluded later on. The one thing I need is for you to be living in New Zealand, as I can't advise people who are still overseas.

What does it cost to talk to you?

The first chat is free and there's no obligation. If you go ahead with cover, I'm usually paid commission by the insurer, and I'll explain exactly how that works in writing before you decide anything.

You came here to provide for your family. Here's how to protect it.

Back home, family was a short drive away. Here, they're a long-haul flight away. If illness or injury stopped you working, your cover is what steps in.

In a free 15-minute call, I'll look at what you have now, what you had back home, and what's actually worth having here. Plain English, no pressure, and no explaining your whole move before we can get started.
